New World Business Centre has kindly donated £500 to LYNCH SYNDROME UK.

LYNCH SYNDROME is a heredity genetic mutation that can cause many Cancers, predominantly Bowel Cancer (up to 80% risk), Endometrial Cancer and Ovarian Cancer.  It is thought to affect 1 in 280 people but we only currently know about 5% of the population.  It can affect young people and the campaign message is that ‘You are never too young to get Bowel Cancer - it is not an older person’s disease’.

Jeff was compelled to donate to Lynch Syndrome UK after hearing about the disease through a member of staff who is a very good friend of a ‘Lynchie’, Jane Ashford.

Jane said:-

“Lynch Syndrome UK Trustees and Forum members have supported me through my Lynch Syndrome and Cancer diagnosis and continue to do so through my ongoing treatment.  I am very grateful for the donation which will be a massive help to the charity by providing support to the campaign, patients and families.  It will also help in providing education to the public and, just as important, raising knowledge of healthcare professionals, GP’s, Consultants & Nurses.  Thank you for your generous donation”.
